Lisa Kondi, one of the lead trainers at Kondi Fitness took some time to talk about her new nutritional guide Body by Kondi, the new Kondi Fitness Yaletown location and more.
We understand you’ve just released nutrition program? Can you tell us a little bit about that?
Yes! It’s my passion project and I’m so so excited to share it with everyone! Nutrition and wellness is what I thrive on. It started solely because so many clients kept asking me what to eat and what they can do outside the gym to benefit themselves in the gym. Healthy eating isn’t boring!!
My goal is to help others realize this. If only people knew how healthy eating would make them feel, the world would be a MUCH happier place, which is why I created the Body by Kondi
program. It’s the perfect compliment to the Kondi method, a killer exercise that has changed the lives of so many people.
You’re healthy recipes are renowned around Kondi Fitness, what 3 things are ALWAYS in your fridge?
Avocado, tempeh, spinach.
What’s your favourite thing about being an instructor at Kondi Fitness?
The clients. We have the most badass women, (and lots more men now too!) that work so hard. The feeling I get when people put their all into their workouts is unexplainable. I know how good it feels to push past your comfort zone and go beyond what you thought you were capable of, so seeing others do that is the best. There is seriously nothing better.
Kondi Fitness is now expanding to a second location in Yaletown? Can you tell us a little more about that?
Yes! We are so excited! It’s been something we’ve talked about for a while now, it’s just been a matter of timing and location of course. We will be opening sometime in the early new year in Yaletown, more details will be announced as soon as we know more.
It will definitely be the Kondi 2.0. The newer, more suped-up version. Treadmills that go up to 20 incline, new resistance band workouts and a fresh new vibe. The South Granville location will always be great, but the new location will cater more towards to downtown crowd, AKA a little more intensity and MORE BATHROOMS AND SHOWERS!!!!!
Kondi Fitness has a variety of classes and combines Callanetics, Pilates, TRX and H.I.I.T. but what is your favourite workout?
I love anything with intensity, AKA the sweatier the better. Anything H.I.I.T. related, but I also love the burn and small controlled movements of a classic Callanetics class.

Invest in yourself. That’s really the only thing I can say and that I truly stand behind this saying. I hope my passion for healthy living and feeling good inspires others to do the same. Life really does fly by so it’s important to live your best life.
